The Professional DJ course The Music Inc. trains students to master mixing techniques across a whole range of music styles and teaches you to build a set, blending seamlessly from one track to another.

Session 2 -Music Genres and DJ Concepts (Bars, BPM, Frequencies)
Session 3 – Know your DJ Console – CD players
Session 4 – Know your DJ Console – Mixer, Speakers, Headphones
Session 5 – Cueing and Releasing
Session 6 – Identifying and Pitch Bending
Session 7 – Pitching and Mixing
Session 8 – Micing and Test
Session 9 – Taking Cueing to the next level (Hot Cues)
Session 10 – Releasing – Pro Lessons
Session 11 – Training the ear to Identify and Pitch Bend
Session 12 – Hands on practice of Pitch Bending and Pitching
Session 13 – Essence of DJing – Pitching and Mixing
Session 14 to 16 – Perfecting the art of Mixing

Digital DJ Course (age 12+)

Learn the art of DJing in the Digital DJ course offered by The Music Inc. Students in this dj course are taught on the DDJSX4 midi controller. The dj course teaches you all the intricacies and training required in becoming a DJ.

SESSIONS

Session 1 – Introduction to TMI and DJ’ing
Session 2 – Music Genres and DJ concepts
Session 3 – Know Your Console (Introduction to Pioneer DDJ SX2 midi controller)
Session 4 – Know Your Console (Speakers, Headphones and wiring)
Session 5 – Introduction to Serato DJ
Session 6 – Analyzing tracks and creating play lists
Session 7 – Setting cue points and hot cues
Session 8 – Identifying, pitching bending, pitching with Pioneer DDJ SX2
Session 9 – Mixing tracks back to back
Session 10 – Mixing using equalizers on Pioneer DDJ SX2
Session 11 – Creating and using Loops and using filter and effect knobs on Pioneer DDJ SX2 while mixing
Session 12 – Using the microphone and how to make announcements
Session 13 to 15 – Practice Sessions

Electronic Music Production Course (age 16+)

The Electronic Music Production course program imparts music creation skills to the students. It covers a wide array of modules starting from music theory to mixing/remixing and mastering one’s soundtrack. Any form of genre can be taught in our 1 to 1 classes.

SESSIONS

Session 1 – Introduction & overview of production platform (software)
Session 2 – Equipment selection, location optimization & mounting to improve production quality
Session 3 – Introduction to Digital Audio Recording. Mixer, hardware & software set up
Session 4 – Basic region editing in Arrange window (Copy, Cut, Loop) & Creating a basic dance beat with the use of sampler machine/drum kits
Session 5 – Editing, audio and programming
Session 6 – Introduction to music theory and Use of Software Instruments (VSTI)
Session 7 – Introduction and setup: Computers – MIDI
Session 8 – Introduction of syntheses: Make your own melody; building a musical structure in your mix (pads, arpeggiator, lead, hook, follow)
Session 9 – Starting your Arrangement
Session 10 – Introduction to various effects & EQ. Introduction to panning, compressor grouping, compression using side chain
Session 11 – Use of noise gates, reverb, delay, filter, flanger, chorus
Session 12 – Before Mixing. Subgroup parts (drums, bass), create separation between instruments. Basic balance of volume levels
Session 13 – Art of Mixing
Session 14 – Introduction to Mastering
Session 15 to 17 – Student will work on their submission
Session 18 – Bounce your master and practical test

iPad DJ Course (age 9+)

The iPad DJ Course program at the The Music Inc. is great for kids aged between 6-11 years of age. Taught on the WeDJ application by Pioneer or Djay By Algoriddim. Children have the most amount of fun learning on these ever so simple electronic gadgets. We teach them how to mix and blend songs of their choice, one after the other.

Session 1 – Introduction to DJ’ing and music
Session 2 – Introduction to the DJ application called WeDJ and layout of the application
Session 3 – Starting of the training on how to mix
Session 4 – Mixing practice
Session 5 – Mixing practice and recording your set
Session 6 – Introduction to DDJ WeGo4 midi controller and wiring it up with the iPad
Session 7 – Setting cue points, hot cues, pitch bending and pitching with the DDJ WeGo4
Session 8 – Mixing with the DDJ WeGo4
